Abundant Life Gospel Church, Nigeria.

The Abundant Life Gospel Church was founded on August 23rd 1984, at the Bishop Smith Primary School, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.

In three months, the primary school classroom was full and overflow with saints on Sunday morning services. The anointing for preaching, healing and miracles was outstanding.

Everyone who came into any of the services was either saved, healed or filled with the Holy Spirit. So great was the move of God that even believers came from far and near purposely to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and miracles, with this overflow of anointing and people, ‘I asked God where next to move the church to and the Lord said go to former Midland Stores.

A former supermarket, this warehouse would seat 2000 people conveniently. And there we were for 2years, after which God gave us our own land. Kola Onaolapo pastored that church for seven years within which without exaggeration. His ministry made notable impact on the city within those seven years.

On a trip from Kano, Nigeria where he participated in planning Reinhardt Bonnke West Africa conference of 1991, that the Lord spoke to him to ‘Leave Ilorin, to start another church in Lagos. The new Headquarters church which later occupied four plots of land had a 2,500 seater auditorium, a four floor staff quarters building and primary school. But in July 2003, The Bishop started a pioneer church work on a new site called land of Goshen an 8.3 acres of land God blessed the ministry with on 69, Iju Road, Agege, Lagos.

In September 2005, the foundation of a Cathedral that will seat 25, 000 people was started. One year and 11months later a total of 55million naira or ($335, 973.5) had been spent on the foundation. We believe God to complete this soonest, meanwhile we use a temporary building that seats about 1, 000 people for worship, with two services every Sunday morning. 7:30am, 9:30am
